The programme is delivered via a combination of group teaching and individual supervision. Students are invited to join weekly activities including research seminars, writing workshops, and feedback sessions involving staff and peers. These weekly sessions create a valuable space for students to deepen their learning, build confidence, and benefit from peer exchange, making them an integral part of both personal growth and the assessment process. 

The Fine Arts Master’s degree by research includes two options.

1. Theory only. On completion, students submit a written thesis.
2. An integrated approach to theory and practice. On completion, students submit a written thesis and a body of practical work for examination. The written thesis and practical work are submitted simultaneously and considered as a whole.

Students are required to be on campus during the course of this degree.
