At master’s level, students pursue supervised research studies across various fields of African language Linguistics and Literature, culture and heritage, lexicography, onomastics, language planning and policy, and language learning and acquisition and language development and terminography. The Our offerings allow master’s candidates to develop dissertation topics that are based on their individual academic interests. In our offerings we are conscious of the recommendations of Section 6 of the RSA 1996 constitution which stipulate that African languages should be developed as languages that were previous marginalized and undeveloped in the previous dispensation.
