At master’s level, students pursue supervised research projects across diverse areas of Linguistics including language planning and contact, descriptive and analytical linguistics, as well as language and cognition. The breadth of our offerings allows master’s candidates to develop thesis topics that align with their individual interests while contributing to a wide spectrum of linguistic theory from theoretical syntax to educational linguistics. Our programme offers particular opportunities for research in African languages.
